California Style Zen Garden

Nothing can compare to the peace and serenity of Zen landscaping. This Asian garden design is based on the principles of simplicity and harmony. Many traditional Japanese Zen gardens include no flowers, believing that the color would disrupt the harmony and peace of the garden. Some gardens consist of only rocks and include no plants at all!

In our Southern California environment we are generally not quite so disciplined, but prefer a garden that includes plants but retains the peaceful nature of this type of landscaping.
