Irrigation Design PlanA scaled and detailed irrigation design plan drawn in AutoCAD includes legend, type and size of all components of the irrigation system, manufacturer name and model numbers for your landscape planting plan. The automatic sprinkler system can save you time, money and water if it is designed, installed and scheduled properly. An efficient irrigation design can avoid over watering your plants, house, sidewalks, driveway, streets, fences, and walls. We use weather-based irrigation controllers that are recommended by local water agencies. The controller system adjusts your sprinklers when to water, and when not to in response to weather conditions, thus providing the right amount of water needed to keep the plants healthy. Spray sprinklers are the most widely used for lawn areas. Drip irrigation runs below ground and waters flowers, shrubs, and trees. Drip systems are more efficient and beneficial than spray irrigation, but they are also more costly and installations are more complicated and require more maintenance. The soaker hoses are beneficial during hot, dry weather and apply water at a slow rate. It reduces evaporation and runoff. The soaker hose may also be coiled around the base of a tree or shrub. Soaker hoses are inexpensive and are widely available at nurseries and home improvement garden centers. Irrigation plans are optional features.
