Contemporary Garden

This contemporary garden landscape inspired by the homeowner’s personality and complements the interior and exterior of the house. The plan utilizes attractive but low maintenance, drought tolerant plants.

The front entrance features stone veneer columns embedded with lighting for ambiance and safety, thus welcoming visitors to the home.

Details are what make the difference, especially when designing a clean contemporary look. Carefully selected modern amenities provide practicality designed as luxury. The pool includes a spa that invitingly spills water into a pool. Dark, glossy green foliage provides contrasting background for the raised deck. Sparkling against the lights, the plants give a clean, simple form with minimal leaf drop.

The kitchen connects to an outdoor kitchen with a dining table large enough to seat friends comfortably. The large backyard is party-ready for entertaining with low voltage outdoor lighting. The white flowers glow at night and lights in the trees provide soft background for an outdoor evening party.

The environmentally sensitive home owners elected lawnless landscaping and used water-wise plants.

The plants used in this garden include fruit trees, rosemary, common myrtle, little john, New Zealand flax, cordyline, agave, boxwood, kangaroo paw, and many other water-wise plants.
